Huawei Watch 2 Price and Specifications

Huawei Watch 2 Review

Huawei has long established itself as a reliable manufacturer of electronics, wearable as well. Huawei’s own sports bracelets and smartwatches have been available for a long time. And the latter is actively updated by the company. And one of the latest models- Huawei Watch 2 Sport, which we managed to test.

Appearance and equipment

The watch comes in a white minimalist box, which adorns only logos. Inside, we are immediately greeted by Huawei Watch 2 Sport, and on the side, you can find a small box with waste paper and a charger. At first glance, the watch seemed very massive and even reminded Samsung’s Gear S3. Therefore, predicting your desire to twist the bezel, I consider it necessary to say that this will not be possible. In general, the appearance of a smart accessory leaves a pleasant impression. Yes, compared to the first generation, they acquired a more sporty look (including the classic version), but at the same time, the watches did not stop looking good.

Despite the plastic from which the device is made, it does not look cheap. In addition, the bezel itself is made of ceramic and slightly protrudes above the screen, which in theory should protect it from damage and scratches. The inner surface is made of metal with a plastic insert in the middle. It contains heart rate sensors and magnetic contacts for charging.

I especially want to mention the rubber strap. Although it is not very flexible, it feels pleasant on the hand and does not slip. If desired, it can be easily changed to another. Despite the external massiveness of the watch and the declared weight of 40 g, no discomfort with constant wear does not occur. Declared protection against water and dust according to IP68, which even allows you to swim with the clock in the pool.

Screen

Despite, frankly, not a record ratio of screen size to the size of the case, it can be attributed to the advantages of Huawei Watch 2 Sport. This is around 1.2-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 390 x 390 pixels. There are no complaints about the quality of the displayed image – individual pixels are not visible during normal use. In addition, I was pleased with the Always-on display – after a few seconds of inactivity, any selected dial turns black and minimalist, using less energy. And each service has an individual economy mode. The only disadvantage of the screen is that it lacks the maximum brightness, so you will have to peer under direct sunlight.
