Microsoft HoloLens 2 – $ 3,500 Mixed Reality Glasses

Microsoft HoloLens 2 runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 850 chipset and second-generation holographic processor. The resolution of the two screens is equivalent to a 2K display. The case also has five microphones, spatial audio speakers and a battery that will last up to five hours in stand-alone mode. A USB Type-C connector is used for charging.

 

Microsoft has significantly updated eye and hand tracking technology. The new ToF-sensor now recognizes up to 21 points on each hand, which allows you to more accurately determine user gestures. Artificial intelligence has also been significantly redesigned, now the owner of HoloLens can quickly interact with figures in augmented reality. The glasses support the Cortana voice assistant.

HoloLens 2 was not designed for home use, the device is intended for business projects, the army, and construction. Despite this, the device can be pre-ordered at a price of 3500 US dollars on the official website of the company. In addition, potential customers can purchase HoloLens by installments with a monthly fee of $ 125, when purchasing software from Dynamics 365 Remote Assist. Points will be sold in the UK, USA, Canada, China, Germany, Ireland, France, New Zealand, Australia, and Japan. The exact date of the start of sales is unknown.
