Sennheiser HD 1 IN-EAR and HD 4.40 BT Wireless Headphones

Now few people can surprise with wireless headphones. What is more surprising is their absence in the manufacturers’ lines, rather than availability. But in pursuit of trends, more and more market players are joining. So Sennheiser decided to keep up and presented at CES 2017 their versions of the wireless headphones of the HD 4 series. In fact, this is an updated version of the Sennheiser HD 4 headphones.

The same design, but with an updated filling. The new release differs from the previous one only in the presence of a version with active noise reduction – Sennheiser HD 4.50 BTNC headphones. We also liked the Sennheiser HD 1 In-Ear Wireless in-ear headphones. First things first.

Full-size HD 4.40 BT WIRELESS and HD 4.50 BTNC WIRELESS

Headphones are connected to the smartphone via Bluetooth 4.0. From one charge they will work up to 25 hours without noise reduction and up to 18 hours with active noise reduction. Headphones use Qualcomm’s aptX codec to decode music with the least loss in quality. The sound recommended by Sennheiser, as always on top. Headphones sound interesting. The upper and lower ranges are perfectly pronounced, only the middle frequencies are not enough. The rest of the comfortable headphones comfortably sit on the head and have an excellent design.

The price for the simple version is $ 149.95, and $ 199.95 for the noise-canceling version. Prices for the CIS market at the time of the presentation were not known.

The Sennheiser HD 1 In-Ear Wireless in-ear headphones also caught our attention. Headphones are connected to the “collar” of genuine leather. All controls, battery, microphone and other components are placed immuno in our module. Headphones are connected via Bluetooth 4.1. Using NFC, you can connect with a simple touch of the smartphone to the headphones. 10 hours of continuous operation provide only 1.5 hours of charging up to 100%.

According to the manufacturer, the headphones have a range of 15-22,000 Hz, sound pressure 112 dB. Headphones also support Qualcomm aptX codec.

The sound is expressed in detail, assertive with a pleasant middle. Pretty strong bass, like many in-ear headphones. Sennheiser’s price has not been announced, but we can guess that it will be about $ 200.
