The main feature of FreeBuds is the active noise reduction function, which is very rare for open-fit headphones. The developers promise to eliminate ambient noise up to 15 dB for each ear canal. At the same time, the microphones in the “legs” pick up vocal vibrations using the “bone sensor”. The decision allowed to make the voice of the owner of FreeBuds clearer and louder during a conversation. It is also worth noting the minimum sound delay of 190 ms, which is superior to both AirPods and the popular Sony WF-1000XM3 headphones.
As for the appearance, FreeBuds 3 got the form of “inserts” like Apple AirPods, but with the difference in the form of the legs, which is located above each insert. Headphones will last up to 4 hours in music listening mode, and a round case will increase battery life up to 20 hours. The case itself can be charged wirelessly. Huawei FreeBuds 3 will be available in black and white.
A representative of Huawei said that the headphones will be cheaper than AirPods, but did not specify the exact cost of the accessory. The release is scheduled for October this year.
